About Me
Hey there! I'm Fiona, and I'm thrilled to welcome you to Ember Physical Therapy! At Ember, my goal is to provide an environment where evidence-based practice, compassionate care, and a holistic approach come together to foster healing.
Compassionate and evidence-based care is at the core of my practice. I value each patient's unique needs and strive to create a welcoming environment where you feel comfortable and supported. Humans are not cookie-cutter, and your pelvic floor physical therapy shouldn’t be either! I believe in the power of combining evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of your unique needs, goals, and abilities. I believe that every patient deserves a bespoke treatment plan that is designed to get them feeling better.
Since graduating from Columbia University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015, I've dedicated myself to expanding my expertise through extensive continuing education. I've invested hundreds of hours of learning with the Herman and Wallace Institute, the Barral Institute, and the Institute of Physical Art. I also hold the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practioner Certification (PRPC).
Fiona is also a co-author of the chapter, "Musculoskeletal Management of Pelvic and Sexual Pain Disorders" in the Textbook of Female Sexual Function and Dysfunction: Diagnosis and Treatment.
Throughout my career spanning over eight years, I've had the privilege of working with hundreds of patients with pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction. Each interaction has shaped my practice and fueled my passion for making a difference in people's lives.
At Ember Physical Therapy, you can trust that you're in capable hands. I combine my extensive education, experience, and compassionate approach to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to guide you on a journey towards improved well-being and a better quality of life.
